Description
The Manor House is a vicarage located on Church Lane in Thorpe St. Peter. It was built in the mid-18th century and remodeled around 1825. The building is constructed of red brick and features slate roofs with brick coped gables, along with two gable stacks and a single ridge stack.
The house has two storeys with a garret and a seven-bay front. The left side has two projecting bays that contain a garret in the gable, with two additional 19th-century bays beyond. There is a plinth and a first-floor band, as well as a second-floor band on the return walls and the projecting gabled bay.
A 19th-century doorway is located in the re-entrant angle of the projecting bays on the right, set within a canted porch that has a flat band. The doorway features a semi-circular head, a glazing bar fanlight, and a door. To the left of the doorway, there are two glazing bar sashes in the projecting bays, with two more beyond. To the right of the doorway, there are two smaller glazing bar sashes, all of which have cambered heads. Above, there are three small glazing bar sashes with wooden lintels, and to the left, there are four glazing bar sashes, all with cambered heads. The central garret window has a small glazing bar sash with a cambered head.
