Description

Crows Bridge is a road bridge over the Steeping River, built around 1812 by the engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed of red brick with limestone ashlar dressings. It features a slightly askew elliptical arch with a brick band above it. The curved brick parapet is capped with ashlar and ends in rectangular coped piers. This area was drained and enclosed by John Rennie between 1802 and 1812.
