Description

The Yews is an early 19th-century house located on East Street in Alford. It features a stucco exterior with stucco dressings and quoins, topped by a hipped slate roof and two tall brick wall stacks. The building is two stories high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a flush panelled door with an overlight, set within panelled reveals and flanked by narrow panelled pilasters and a short hood. On either side of the entrance are canted plain sash bay windows, which have pilastered mullions and swept leaded roofs. The first floor includes three plain sash windows, each with splayed rusticated lintels and fluted keystones.
