Description
Nos. 2 and 3 on The Terrace are a pair of houses built in the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and feature a machine plain tiled roof with a single gable and ridge stacks. The houses are two stories tall and have a cellar, presenting a seven-bay front that includes a plinth and a first-floor band. The arrangement consists of two windows, a door, another window, a second door, and two more windows. The doors are accessed by three ashlar steps and are six-panel designs with overlights, set within recesses that have panelled reveals, moulded architraves, and narrow hoods. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with segmental heads on the ground floor and at the eaves on the first floor. The interiors have been altered and refitted in the late 19th century.
