Description
School Lane Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and one hip. The building has a T-plan layout and is two stories high, with a three-bay front. The right-hand bay has been raised. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with a plain overlight above it. To the left of the door is a glazing bar sash window with a segmental head, while to the right is a small canted bay featuring glazing bar sashes, a moulded cornice, and a shaped lead roof. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sashes, two of which are positioned at the eaves, and one has a segmental brick head.
