Description
The Red Lion Inn is a public house dating from the mid-18th century, with some minor alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a pantile roof with three gable stacks and a single ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys plus attics high, with a three-bay front that includes dentillated eaves. The central entrance is a half-glazed 19th-century door, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. All openings are topped with cambered brick arches. The roof features three glazing bar dormers, each with slightly raking lead roofs and sides. At the rear, there is a two-storey raised wing that has two glazing bar sashes on each floor.
