Description

The Poplars is a late 18th-century building located at 1348 Gospelgate, on the north side. It is three storeys tall and constructed of brown brick, topped with a green slate roof featuring gable ends and stacks. The building has three hung sash windows, with the outer windows consisting of three lights, all having cased frames and glazing bars. A central modern door is sheltered by a rectangular half-domed leaded roofed cast-iron verandah porch. To the right, there is a small lower extension. The Poplars is part of a group that includes Nos 15 to 21 (odd).
