Description
Moat Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century and altered later in the 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and stone, topped with a slate roof that features two gable stacks and a single ridge stack. The building is two storeys high with an irregular three-bay front. The off-centre 19th-century door is sheltered by an open porch with a pent roof, flanked by two wide glazing bar sash windows. To the right, there is a narrower sash window of similar style. On the first floor, a pair of narrow glazing bar sashes is flanked by single similar sashes, with a two-light casement window to the right. Additionally, there is a single-storey, single-bay service range with a pantile roof. The site is moated.
