Description

East Kirkby Windmill is a tower windmill built in 1820 for William Thimbleby by the millwright Sam Ward, with completion by Oxley of Alford. The structure is made of red brick with some blue brick accents and features a raised eaves band. It stands six storeys tall. There are single doorways on the south and north sides, and single window openings on the east and west sides. Each floor above has four window openings, except for the first floor on the east side, which has no openings. The openings on the top two floors are smaller, and all openings are set under segmental arches. No milling machinery is visible from the exterior.
