Description

Two houses, built in 1827 and altered in the 20th century. The houses are constructed of pebble-dashed brick with painted stucco dressings, and have a concrete tile and pantile roof with one ridge stack and one gable stack. They are three storeys high and five bays wide, with a rendered plinth and a band across the first floor. A central semi-circular doorway leads to a through passage, with a semi-circular lintel, imposts, and an ornate keystone. The doorway is flanked by single sash windows with stucco wedge lintels and ornate keystones. Further doorways are situated on either side, each with ionic fluted pilasters, an entablature, a moulded cornice, an overlight, and a panelled door. Above the doorway is a central dummy semi-circular window with a moulded architrave and painted glazing bars. Two sash windows with moulded architraves are located on each side of the dummy window. A roundel is positioned above, containing the inscription "W.R. 1827 W.R.", and is flanked by two small sash windows on each side.
