Description
Beech House is a house that dates from the 17th century, with early and late 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from limestone coursed rubble and red brick, which is thickly rendered. The roof is made of pantiles and features gable stacks and wooden eaves. The building is two storeys high with a garret and has a three-bay front. The ground floor includes rubble quoins, while there are bands on the first and second floors that continue onto the return walls. The central doorway has a round head, a fanlight, and a panelled door. This doorway is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, and above, there are three glazing bar sashes, with the one over the door being narrower. All the windows have segmental heads. The first-floor walls on the return are made of 17th-century rubble. There is a late 19th-century addition at the rear.
