Description
The Pack Horse Inn is a building dated 1750, located at 1348 Eastgate. It is three storeys high and constructed of brick with a pantile roof, which has been replaced on the right side. The building features a paired modillion eaves cornice on Nos 65 and 67. There are six windows with stucco keystones and segmental arches, and the windows are hung sashes. Brick bands run between the storeys. On the ground floor, there are two windows for the Inn, with rendered areas between them and a small plinth. To the left, there is an elliptical stone carriage arch with a keystone. To the right, there are two plain late 19th-century shop fronts. The Pack Horse Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 57 to 75 (odd), Nos 79 to 103 (odd), and No 2 Vickers Lane.
