Description

Chapel Yard Walling, Gate Piers and Gates in Staunton Harold dates from the mid 17th century. The walling is constructed of ashlar stone and features coping and angle buttresses. The gate piers are also made of ashlar and are adorned with heraldic friezes, cornices, and ball finials. The wrought iron gates, which date from the 17th to 18th centuries, have twisted shafts and ornate crestings.
