No 1 North Street is an early 19th century building with a rendered facade and a hipped tiled roof at the end. The front features two sash windows, which retain most of their glazing bars, and a bow window that also has glazing bars, a cornice, and one opening light next to the shop side door, which has steps leading up to it. The side facade facing Mill Bank includes a shop window that also has glazing bars. This building is included for its shop windows.
