Description
These are a group of early 19th century terraced cottages located on The Green. They are built of red brick and feature an eaves cornice and a tiled roof; numbers 8 and 9 have a slightly different roofline. The cottages have two storeys and originally contained 7 windows, with early 19th century casements, although some glazing is now modern. Number 8 has two shop windows added in an early 19th century style, with glazing bars under cornices; the northern one is a later addition. The upper windows have slightly pointed arches. Number 11 features a well-preserved early 19th century shop front, including an entablature with a corniced architrave and fluted pilasters. A six-panelled door is also present. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
