Description
This house, now a house and shop, was built around 1800. It is located on the south side of High Street in Measham. The rear and likely the main body of the building are constructed of red brick, specifically "Measham gobs." The front and side elevations are rendered and have a slate roof with coped, shouldered gables. There is a stack on the right end of the building and two rear projecting side stacks. A first-floor band and a moulded brick cornice run along the front.
The main range is three stories high with three windows. It has 3/6 sashes on the first floor and 3/3 sashes on the second floor. The ground floor on the left has been blocked, and on the right is a 20th-century window. A central doorcase is framed within a larger recessed arch, leading to a six-panelled door with a fanlight and an impost band.
To the left of the main range is a two-story section with two 3/3 sashes on the first floor and a 20th-century shop front below. Rear outshuts have ground-floor doors and windows.
