Description
Cranford is a house built around 1830, with an extension added in 1963. It features whitewashed render and a hipped slate roof with a central rendered chimney. The house is double pile, two storeys high, and has three bays. It has a projecting plinth and deeply projecting moulded eaves. The windows are three-pane sashes with Tudor hoodmoulds and painted stone sills. The right bay contains double half-glazed doors with a similar hoodmould, while another bay of sashes is set back to the right and has a parapet. The 1963 extension to the right of this bay includes a garage entry and two sashes above. Inside, the house has contemporary ceiling cornices, one marble fireplace surround with paterae, and a staircase featuring wrought-iron balusters and a wreathed handrail.
