Description
Field Farmhouse is a house dating from the earlier 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features brick dentilled eaves, a band on the front, and a roof covered with plain and 20th-century tiles. The house has a left end stack and a centre right ridge stack, with the front and right end rendered. It is two storeys high and has four windows with cambered lintels, consisting of three-light casements, two one-light windows, and a 20th-century window on the ground floor centre right. The door is located centre left. In the attic, there is a two-light casement on the left end and a one-light window on the right end. At the rear, there is a gabled staircase projection behind the ridge stack, which has a tall narrow partly blocked window, as well as an outshut in Measham gobs, a 20th-century single-storey extension, and additional windows and doors. Inside, there are two inglenooks with beams, chamfered ceiling beams and rafters, 18th-century doors (some with two folded panels and some leading to presses), and a small contemporary staircase with two sections of balustrade featuring flat oak waved balusters.
