Description
Brooksby Station is a former railway station built between 1846 and 1848 by William Parsons. It is designed in the Italianate style, constructed from red brick with limestone dressings, and features a hipped slate roof with brick ridge and lateral stacks. The station is a single-storey building with nine bays. The central doorway has a round-arched head and is flanked by windows with similar heads. To the right, there are tripartite windows beside a similar window, and to the left, there is a door flanked by similar tripartite windows, all featuring round-arched heads. The building has stone sills and surrounds, a band at impost level, and deep projecting, bracketed eaves that are broken by gables above the door. The platform side has a similar arrangement with three doors, similar windows, and three gables at the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
