Description
Orchard House is a house dated 1774, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a Swithland slate roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of the center, which has a segmental-arched head. The ground and first floors have three-light casement windows, with segmental-arched heads on the ground floor and wood lintels on the first floor. The house has an ironstone rubble plinth, dentilled brick eaves, and a datestone located between the middle and left first-floor windows, which is inscribed with worn initials and the date 1774. The interior has not been inspected.
