Description
The pigeoncote at Court Farmhouse, along with an adjoining mounting block, is an agricultural store dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared ironstone with ashlar dressings and features a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and an octagonal plan. On the southeast side, there is a Gothic arched doorway with a plank door, and above it, a smaller Gothic arched door accessed by a wooden step ladder. The east side includes a small Gothic window, while the north side has a similar window that is blocked. The octagonal roof above has the remains of a wooden glover. Inside, it is said to contain stone nest boxes. To the south, there is an adjoining double-sided mounting block with three steps.
