Description

Old Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1670, with additions and alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared limestone and brick, featuring limestone ashlar dressings and a 20th-century pantile roof. The building has a chamfered plinth, two gable stacks, and a single ridge brick stack. It stands two storeys high with garrets and has an L-plan layout with five bays.

On the south side, the right section has a three-bay front that includes a slightly off-centre three-light mullioned casement with a flat hood. To the left of this is a part-glazed 20th-century door, and to the right is a 20th-century glazing bar sash. Above the door, there is a small square fixed light with a wooden lintel. Further to the right, there are two three-light mullioned casements. To the left, there is a 19th-century single-storey service wing, which features a paired glazing bar fixed light with a wooden lintel, flanked on the left by a 20th-century casement. The west end has a four-bay single-storey 20th-century addition. The west gable includes a two-light mullioned casement in the garret, with a flat hood above it. The east gable has a mullioned casement above, located to the right.

Inside, the farmhouse features a mid-17th-century Tudor arched moulded ashlar fireplace with a late 18th-century basket grate. There are two bolection moulded span beams and two fireplace bressummers with lozenge patterns. The roof structure consists of principal rafters with collars and single clasp purlins. Additionally, there is a 19th-century winder stair with stick balusters.
