Description
Wymondham House is a house built in 1801, with later additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared ironstone, featuring limestone ashlar dressings and slate roofs. The building has a chamfered plinth, bands at the first and second floors, moulded eaves, and a coped parapet, along with rusticated quoins and three coped stone gable stacks. A rainwater head on the property is dated 1801.
The south front of the house has three storeys and three bays, with a central late 19th-century parapeted porch that includes a round-headed doorway with an impost band and a double six-panel door topped with a plain fanlight. On either side of the porch are canted late 19th-century ashlar bay windows, each containing three plain sash windows. Above these are three glazing bar sashes, and above those, three smaller glazing bar sashes. All the sashes are adorned with moulded architraves and keystones. The rear wing of the house features irregular fenestration from the 19th and 20th centuries.
