Description
The Blue Bell Public House is a public house that was originally a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century, with alterations and partial rebuilding in the late 19th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a roof made of Welsh and Swithland slate, along with brick ridge stacks. The building is arranged in an L shape, with the front facing Main Street, which has been faced with brick. It includes a canted bay window on the ground floor, sash windows on the first floor with segmental-arched heads, a 20th-century door, and 3-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors of the projecting cross wing to the right, all featuring segmental-arched heads. The frame is exposed on the right side of the cross wing, showing large square panels with struts to the wall plate. Inside, the building has chamfered spine beams.
