Description
Riverside Cottage, Riverside Farm, and Riverside Farmhouse are a range of buildings from the 17th century and later. The eastern or entrance facade features a plinth that is now rendered and stands two storeys high. It has five windows, plus an additional small window on each floor, all of which are casements with stone architraves, some of which are moulded. The central doorcase is notable for its rusticated pilasters, stone voussoirs, and a moulded stone cornice above, with the keystone displaying low relief carving. The round arched door is four-panelled and includes a fanlight. The rear facades reveal exposed stone and brick elevations, along with some 17th-century mullioned windows. There is also a pump located against the north end of the wall on the rear wing. Riverside Farm, Riverside Farmhouse, Riverside Cottage, and the Barn are part of a group with Sysonby Church on Sysonby Grange Lane.
