Description

King Richard's Well is a well, probably from the 19th century, that was restored in 1964. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a pyramidal structure topped with a rough boulder. One side of the well has a recess where the well itself is located, and it includes an inscription in Latin that commemorates the Battle of Bosworth. This site is reputedly where Richard III quenched his thirst during the battle.
