Description

The gatehouse to Shenton Hall was built in 1629 and is constructed of brick with stone dressings and a plain tiled roof. It features gables on each elevation. The ground floor has a segmental archway, and above it, there is a four-light ovolo moulded mullioned window. In the attic gable, there are two lights, all fitted with leaded panes. An inscribed stone above the doorway reads "W.W. 1629". The building also has a stone string course and angle quoins, along with a stack on the western gable.
