Description
The wall to the west of Number 64 Main Street is a remaining fragment of a farmhouse, dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed of ironstone rubble, with ashlared limestone coping and dressings. The wall measures approximately 35 meters long and 2 meters high. It features a 4-light stone-mullioned window with crow-moulded jambs, mullions, and lintels. To the left, there is a 2-light stone-mullioned window with similar mouldings. The northern part of the wall has been partly rebuilt. A photograph from 1904 shows that the current 2-light window originally had 4 lights, and the northern section of the wall once included a 2-light stone-mullioned window. Number 64 Main Street is now a listed building.
