Description

House at 26 Pit Hill, dating from the mid-18th century, is constructed of brick and has a corrugated iron roof, which was formerly thatched. The house features a coped north gable, a gable stack, and a ridge stack. There is a first-floor band. The east front has two storeys and three bays. The central doorway has a wooden surround and a six-panel door. To the left of the doorway is a two-light casement window with a cambered arch, and to the right is a two-light sliding sash window with a flat arch. Above the doorway, there are two two-light sliding sash windows. A single-storey, roofless addition at the northeast corner is not of special architectural interest.
