Description

Smeeton House is a mid-18th century house with alterations from the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick, now rendered with plaster, and has a slate roof with gable stacks. The east front features two-and-a-half storeys and three bays, with bands marking the first and attic floors. A moulded cornice runs along the top. The central doorway is topped by a flat hood supported on brackets, and has a four-panel door with a glazed overlight. Late 19th century canted bays flank the doorway, each containing sashes. Above, a central sash window with glazing bars is complemented by single-light 19th century sashes to the left and right. Further above are three smaller sash windows with glazing bars.
