Description

1 Churchgate is a house dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The left-hand ground floor bay contains an archway that leads over the footpath, with a simply moulded architrave surrounding the central doorway. Beyond this, there is a 2-light ovolo moulded mullioned and transomed window. On the upper floor, there are two 2-light mullioned and transomed windows. The house has coped gables and gable end stacks. At the rear, there is a brick gabled wing that spans the entire width of the house.
