Description
Numbers 2 and 4 on Main Street are two dwellings that were originally built as a house in the early 18th century. The building features colourwashed brick and a thatched roof with a central brick ridge and end stacks. It has brick coped shouldered gables with kneelers and a brick band. The structure is two storeys high and has four 3-light horizontal sliding sash windows, with a blocked window in the centre.
On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a 3-light casement window with a cambered lintel and keystone, a plank door with a small overlight, another 3-light casement window, a blocked door, a 4-light canted bay window, a wooden doorcase with a 4-panelled door, and another 4-light canted bay window.
