Description
Kibworth Hall is a hospital that was originally built as a country house around 1825. It is constructed of buff-brown brick with a plinth, stone dressings, and an ashlar parapet that features battlements in some areas. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, and there are several buff-brown brick ridge stacks. A moulded stone cornice runs along the top of the building.
The structure has two storeys and features a total of seven sash windows and blind windows. On the first floor, from the left, there are two 6/6 sash windows, followed by a 4/4 sash, a 6/6 sash, a 4/4 sash in a central two-storey canted projection, and two blind windows to the right. The ground floor includes two 6/6 sash windows, a 4/4 sash, a two-leaved four-panelled door with a wooden panel above, which is accessed by two stone steps, another 4/4 sash, a blind window, and a 6/6 sash. All windows have stone lintels and sills, with moulded Tudor hood moulds above them.
The garden front on the right side has two storeys with four 6/6 sash windows, and a two-leaved part-glazed door with an overlight located slightly to the left of the center. The left end of the building features additional 6/6 sash windows and another two-leaved part-glazed door. Inside, there is a staircase with a wrought-iron balustrade and two Corinthian columns in the first-floor corridor, along with six-panelled doors and simple early 19th-century fireplaces. A two-storey wing at the rear, which is partly from the 20th century, is not considered to be of special interest.
