Description

Russet Cottage is a pair of cottages that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The front is made of red brick and features a thatched roof, with chimney stacks at both ends and a ridge stack located to the right of the center. The building has two storeys, with four windows on the first floor and five windows on the ground floor; the second window from the left on the ground floor has replaced a door. The windows are casements, with those on the first floor being shallower than those below, and the ground floor windows have segment heads. There is a ribbed door with a thatched beehive hood situated between the fourth and fifth windows from the left.
