Description

This is a late 18th-century house on High Street in Kibworth Beauchamp. It is constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. A painted stucco band runs along the sill line and the second floor, topped by a moulded brick cornice. The house is two and a half storeys high with a three-window front. The outer windows on both storeys are three-light casements with top lights. The ground floor window to the left is a horizontal sliding sash. The central part of the front projects slightly, and the door and window above are set within a recessed giant arch, featuring a painted moulded stucco arch and imposts. Below the arch is a three-light casement with an arched head whose glazing bars create Gothic tracery. The doorway has a painted wooden doorcase with pilasters and a broken pediment, sheltering a six-panelled door and an overlight. The second floor is blank to the street. Two two-light attic casements are located on the left-hand end. A rear extension has a catslide roof.
