Description

The Retreat is an 18th-century building located on the west side of High Street. It features a facade made of red brick with grey headers, which was formerly painted. The building has a steeply pitched pantiled roof and end chimneys, with an external chimney on the west end. It is two storeys high and has five sash windows with glazing bars. The Retreat is situated at the rear of Nos 31 and 31a in the former Bennett's Yard.
