Description
Church Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, originally two dwellings, with a raised storey added in the early 19th century. The walls are a mix of coursed rubble stone in places and red brick, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring a brick ridge and end stacks, the left-hand stack projecting. Wide eaves overhang the building. The front gable faces left, and the first floor has five casement windows: a three-light window on the left and four two-light windows. The ground floor has a three-light window, a doorway, another three-light window, and a doorway, all with casements. A rubble stone plinth runs along the base. The rear elevation, which borders the Churchyard of St. Mary, has four windows on each floor. The first floor features a two-light horizontal sliding sash window, a three-light casement, a two-light window with leaded lights, and a two-light window. The ground floor has a one-light casement, a three-light casement, a one-light casement, and a two-light casement.
