Description

Burton House is a late 18th-century house, dated 1794, located on the east side of Main Street, Burton Overy. The house is constructed of whitewashed brick with a Swithland slate roof and has whitewashed brick end stacks. The front elevation has two storeys and features three casement windows; the central window consists of three lights opening centrally, with matching 3-light windows on either side. Above are two-light casement windows and two further two-light casements. A 6-panelled door is situated centrally, topped with a fanlight. A tablet inscribed 'A' over 'W.H. 1794' is set into the right end gable.
