Description
White House Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a Swithland slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a brick band and a moulded brick cornice, along with brick coped shouldered gables that include kneelers. The house is 2 and a half storeys tall and has two sets of 2 over 2 sash windows, which are topped with cambered lintels and painted keystones. A central first-floor window appears to have been blocked in the 19th century. There is a gabled central porch made of brick, also with a Swithland slate roof, featuring a Gothic archway and a single light window on each side. To the left, there is a two-storey extension that has nogged eaves and a centre-opening three-light casement window on both floors, along with a 20th-century one-light window in the gable of the main range above.
