Description
Quebec House Farmhouse is a house dated 1761. It is constructed of red brick with a granite rubble stone plinth, a brick band, and moulded eaves, topped with a Swithland slate roof featuring brick end stacks. The building has coped shouldered gables and is designed in a T plan, with a wing extending to the rear.
The farmhouse has two storeys and features three windows on the upper floor, including a central round arched window that is a 2-light with top lights, now fixed. Flanking this are two Venetian windows, each a 4-light casement, where the central two lights have top lights under a round arched head. The top lights include glazing bars, but the renewed casements do not.
On the ground floor, there is a similar Venetian window on either side of a central door, which has a very narrow hood. The door consists of six vertical panels and includes a fanlight with square glazing bars. At the rear, there is a lean-to and a two-storey wing that has a slate tablet inscribed '1761', along with a lower two-storey wing.
