Description
The stable at Hall Farm, dating from around 1750, is constructed from granite and slate rubble stone with brick dressings. It features a moulded brick gable cornice and a Swithland slate roof that includes two louvres. The stable is positioned behind and at right angles to a barn built in 1749, which is listed separately. It is a single-storey structure with a loft, comprising eight bays and a tie and collar beam truss roof supported by curved principals and double purlins. At the front, there is a 20th-century outshut extension with a concrete tile roof that serves as an open piggery. The stable has four stable doors and additional openings at the rear. On the right end, there is a large blocked doorway with another door above it, while the left end features three small openings. This stable is included for its group value with the barns, gazebo, and walls nearby.
