Description

Brook Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of granite and slate rubble stone, red brick, and buff brick, topped with a Swithland slate roof that features a stack at the right end. The cottage has one and a half storeys and includes two-light casements. It is situated next to a stream, with the central door accessed via a small slate bridge. The doorway has a cambered lintel, with a casement window on either side. There is a blocked door and casement on the left end, which features a queen post truss and a casement in the gable. The left end gable also has a casement window. Additionally, there is a one and a half storey extension from the 20th century at the rear.
