Description

Crossways is a house dating to 1792. It is constructed of brick with a low-pitched Welsh slate roof featuring cresting. The symmetrical facade has three bays and is arranged over three storeys. A central doorway is topped with an overlight. The windows on the ground and first floors are 16-light sash windows, complete with panelled shutters and gauged brick heads. The upper windows are three-light casements with segmental arched heads, and the attic windows are three-light horizontally sliding sash windows. Gable and axial stacks are present. A slate dated with the initials "W over TA" is visible. A single lower bay extends to the right, with two cambered-headed openings in its gable wall; the lower of these openings has been blocked.
