Description

This large barn, likely built in the mid-18th century, is located at the rear of Ye Olde House on Mill Road. It is constructed of brick set on a granite rubble plinth and features a Swithland slate roof. The barn has a central double doorway, which has a red and blue brick segmentally arched head but is now blocked. On the left side, there is a 6-light window at ground level, while the right side has a single door and window, along with two upper lights. There are also various blocked vents. The barn is locally known as the maltings for the former Benskins brewery.
