Description
Bell Dip Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Baggrave Lane in South Croxton. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building is two stories high and consists of three bays, with a prominent central gable that is supported by Ionic columns and pilasters made of painted brick, creating a porch for the doorway which includes an overlight. Above the doorway, there is one window that has been blocked but retains a drop-ended brick hoodmould. The decorative diamond panel in the apex of the gable adds to its architectural interest. The outer bays also have windows that are now blocked but feature brick hoodmoulds. The farmhouse has overhanging eaves and gable end stacks with tall brick shafts set diagonally. To the left, there is an additional bay of later construction, which has a Swithland slate roof, a single round arched opening on the ground floor, and a dentilled eaves cornice. The rear range of the farmhouse is also of later date.
