Description
The stableblock at Baggrave Hall is a mid-18th century structure made of red brick, which was once colourwashed, and features a 20th-century hipped tile roof with two brick ridge stacks. The building has brick moulded eaves and stands two storeys high, with a total of seven casement windows: three two-light windows on both floors flanking a central three-light window, which is located above an open carriageway. This carriageway is topped with a depressed brick arch. Above the central three-light window, there is a simple pediment that includes a clock face and a weathervane at the apex. Inside, the stableblock retains its original wooden stalls. At the rear, the ranges extend, and to the right end, there is a former trough. Part of this trough, which is polygonal in shape and made of stone, has been reset and features carvings of crenellations and possibly heads, although these details are now worn.
