Description
Dishley Grange is a house built in 1845, as indicated by the date on shields in the gables, and it is a rebuilding of an earlier structure. The house is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has a four-window range arranged in a 1-2-1 pattern, with coped gabled projections on the left and right sides. The windows are sash style, with tripartite windows on the ground floor that include glazing bars. The entrance features a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above it, and a hoodmould with head stops. The previous house on this site was the home of Robert Bakewell, a pioneer agriculturalist.
