Description
The ruins of All Saints Church, dating from the 12th to 13th century, are located on the north side of Derby Road in Dishley. The remaining walls consist of rubble stone with ashlar dressings. The east wall features a triple lancet window, while the north wall has a round-headed doorway with a semi-circular hoodmould and a plank door. The south wall includes a lancet window, a blocked round-headed doorway, an ogee-headed lancet, and the base of a porch. Inside, there are remnants of a piscina, sedilia, and an aumbry. The site also contains slate grave slabs, including those for the Bakewell family, and a 20th-century slate slab commemorating Robert Bakewell on the north wall.
