Description

29 and 31 Anstey Lane are two cottages dating from the 17th century and later. They are constructed with granite and slate rubble stone on the ground floor, while the first floor is made of red brick, topped with a slate roof featuring a central ridge stack. Originally likely 1½ storeys, they have been altered to two storeys. The cottages have two sets of three-light casements on both floors, along with a central 20th-century porch and door. The ground floor features cambered lintels. The rear includes a door, casements, French windows, and three two-light half dormers. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace, a hood on the first floor, and stop-chamfered beams with ogee stops. The listing highlights the significance of the interior features.
