Description
No. 52 Anstey Lane is a house dating from the earlier 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a brick plinth, moulded bands, eaves, and a Swithland slate roof with end stacks. The building has 2½ storeys and includes three casements with top lights, showcasing fine early 19th-century leaded lights. There is a porch with three lights on either side and two lights above, featuring cambered lintels on the ground and first floors. The porch is an early 19th-century red brick structure in the Tudor style, complete with stone dressings and small side openings. Three stone steps lead up to a Tudor arch with a hood mould and label stops. On the left end of the ground floor, there is a similar two-light casement with top lights, while a French window is located on the right end. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with an end stack, casements, and an outshut.
